BMP-6に対する細胞応答は、Ⅰ型およびⅡ型セリン/スレオニンキナ-ゼレセプタ-のヘテロオリゴマ-複合体形成によって仲介されています。成熟ヒトおよびマウスBMP-6のホモロジ-は96%です。
