DL-2-アミノアジピン酸（AAA）は、グルタミン酸塩の6炭素ホモログであり、グリオトキシン系化合物です。一般的にα-アミノアジピン酸誘導性グリア毒性の機序を研究するためのモデルとして機能する小脳培養物中アストログリア（星状膠細胞）の数を大幅に減らすために使用されます。
