Application

This protein phosphatase inhibitor 1 is suitable for use as a substrate to identify novel phosphatases and kinases that modulate protein phosphatase inhibitor 1 activity. This product is also suitable for use in affinity pull-down binding studies. Protein Phosphatase Inhibitor 1 human has been used as a component in the sucrose cell lysis buffer. It has also been used for intraperitoneal injection of mice prior to natterins or saline treatment in pharmacological intervention studies.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Intimately involved in glycogen metabolism as an inhibitor of phosphorylase phosphatase, the enzyme responsible for conversion of phosphorylase b to phosphorylase a. Inhibition is invoked only upon phosphorylation by a cAMP-dependent protein kinase.

Treatment options for COVID-19, caused by SARS-CoV-2, remain limited. Understanding viral pathogenesis at the molecular level is critical to develop effective therapy. Some recent studies have explored SARS-CoV-2-host interactomes and provided great resources for understanding viral replication. However, host proteins

Here we evaluated whether Natterins affect the leukocyte-endothelial cell interaction, hampering leukocyte mobilization and extravasation. Leukocyte-endothelial cell interactions were evaluated in venules of mouse cremaster muscle using intravital microscopy. We reported that low doses of Natterins interfere with the cell
