Major histocompatibility complex, class II, DP α-1 (HLA-DPA1) belongs to the class II human leukocyte antigen (HLA) family and is expressed in Kupffer cells of the liver. The gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 6.

Applicazioni
Anti-HLA-DPA1 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. Major histocompatibility complex, class II, DP α-1 (HLA-DPA1) is involved in viral antigen presentation to CD4+ T helper cells. Mutations in the gene encoding HLA-DPA1 has been associated with persistent hepatitis B virus infection.
