Application

Anti-PPIB (AB2) antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 1.25μg/ml and for immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded tissue sections at a concentration of 4-8μg/ml.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Peptidylprolyl isomerase B (PPIB; cyclophilin B) is a protein released with secretory pathway in the biological fluids by the rough endoplasmic reticulum. It is involved in the regulation of cyclosporine A-mediated immunosuppression. Mutations in the PPIB gene cause a delay in procollagen chain association in osteoblasts that is one of the features of osteogenesis imperfecta phenotypes.[1][2][3]
