Nelda Bonini

Nelda Bonini is Head of Human Resources for the Life Science business of Merck, and serves as a member of the Global Human Resources Leadership Team of the company. In her role, she is responsible for building and shaping a High-Impact Culture that fosters innovation, drives operational excellence, and maximizes the potential of 28,000 Life Science colleagues worldwide.

Nelda has more than three decades of in-depth expertise in various facets of human resources, gained across a range of industries including technology, biotechnology and food nutrition. With a remarkable breadth of experience in successfully transforming organizations, fostering leadership, and enhancing employee engagement, she is a proven leader in driving positive change.

Before joining the company in 2023, Nelda worked for International Flavors & Fragrances, a global leader in food, beverage, health, biosciences and sensorial experiences, where she served as Vice President of Human Resources for the Business Divisions. Prior, she spent a decade at DuPont, where she held a variety of human resources leadership positions, including Vice President of Human Resources for the Nutrition & Biosciences Division and Head of Talent & Chief Diversity Officer. Nelda has also lent her expertise to several other large organizations, including Applied Biosystems/Life Technologies (Thermo Fisher Scientific), where she spent a decade in various international leadership roles.

Nelda studied Business Administration in Milan, Italy.
