Methamidophos is a nonselective type of organophosphorus insecticide and a potent acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, which is commonly used in controlling a broad spectrum of pest insects such as chewing and sucking insects and spider mites on citrus fruits, ornamental plants, stone fruits and other intensive agricultural crops.
