生化/生理作用
Putative hydrolase RBBP9 is an enzyme encoded by the RBBP9 gene in humans and is expressed in normal and malignant tissues. It is a tumor-associated protein and functions as an interacting partner for the retinoblastoma susceptibility protein (Rb). It is essential for pancreatic neoplasia, affects cell cycle control. It acts as a tumor-associated serine hydrolase involved in the TGF-β signaling pathway and its activity takes part in the development of pancreatic carcinomas. It also overcomes TGF-β-mediated antiproliferative signaling by reducing Smad2/3 phosphorylation and acts as an essential suppressor of TGF-β signaling, that is essential for E-cadherin expression.
