Epoxide hydrolase 3 (EPHX3) is an important DNA methylation marker of prostate cancer. It is required for the detoxification of reactive xenobiotic epoxides and for the modification of endogenous epoxides which are signaling molecules. EPHX3 shows high activity towards fatty acid-derived epoxides.
