一般描述
ARC is part of the activity regulated cytoskeleton-associated protein family. It is involved in endocytosis of AMPA receptors and formation of long-term memory. It is found expressed in the cytoplasma of neuronal dendrites.
ARC protein contains an N-terminal CARD that has homology to the CARDs present in Apaf-1 and RAIDD. It binds to and inhibits the activity of caspase 8. It also binds to caspase 9 and to Ced-3. It inhibits apoptosis induced by death receptors that require caspase 8 activation.
Rabbit Anti-ARC, C-Terminal antibody binds to amino acids 191-208 of human ARC.
免疫原
synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 191-208 of human ARC (apoptosis repressor with CARD).
应用
Rabbit Anti-ARC, C-Terminal antibody can be used for western blot (1:1,000) and microarray analyses.
外形
Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.

We have identified and characterized ARC, apoptosis repressor with caspase recruitment domain (CARD). Sequence analysis revealed that ARC contains an N-terminal CARD fused to a C-terminal region rich in proline/glutamic acid residues. The CARD domain of ARC exhibited significant homology

Accruing data indicate that radiation-induced consequences resemble pathologies of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer´s. The aim of this study was to elucidate the effect on hippocampus of chronic low-dose-rate radiation exposure (1 mGy/day or 20 mGy/day) given over 300 days
