一般說明
来自维多利亚多管发光水母（Aequorea victoria）的绿色荧光蛋白（GFP）可用作荧光指示剂，用于监测各种细胞系统（包括活生物体和固定组织）中的基因表达。与其他生物发光报告基因不同，GFP在没有底物、辅因子或其他内在或外在蛋白质的情况下发出荧光。纯化的GFP是一种27 kDa的单体，由238个氨基酸组成，当被蓝色或紫外线激发时会发出绿色荧光（最大发射波长为509 nm）。
