A potent cell-permeable, metabolically stable activator of cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA). Induces the guanine-nucleotide-exchange factor activity of GEFI, also known as Epac (exchange protein directly activated by cAMP), and GEFII towards Rap1 both in vivo and in vitro. Significantly more lipophilic and cell permeable than Sp-cAMPS (Cat. No. 116815). λ_max = 264 nm (H₂O, pH 7.0); ε_max = 17,000 M^-1cm^-1. Note: 5 µmol = 2.23 mg.
