General description

Hentriacontane is a normal alkane, comprising of approximately 31 carbon atoms, which can be found in beewax. It is also found to be a major component of candelilla wax, which upon organo-gelation can provide structure to solid-like fat-based foods, drug delivery systems and cosmetics.
