General description

12-aminododecanolactam is a cyclic amide that is used in a variety of organic synthesis reactions. It is a versatile building block that can be used to synthesize a wide range of compounds, including polyamides, peptides and amino acids.

Application

12-Aminododecanolactam can be used to synthesis low viscosity lactam-based ionic liquids by reacting with various Bronsted acids. It is also used to synthesis Nylon-12, by ring opening polymerization.
