Description générale

Sulfisoxazole belongs to the sulfonamide class of antibacterial compounds.

Application

Sulfisoxazole may be used as a reference standard for the determination of sulfisoxazole in:
  • Honey after acidic hydrolysis by using post-column derivatization and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-fluorescence detection.
  • Hospital, urban wastewater and river water by automated off-line solid phase extraction (SPE) followed by analysis using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography combined with quadrupole linear ion trap tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-QqLIT).
  • Foodstuffs of animal origin by UHPLC coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS).
  • Raw milk samples by SPE followed by UPLC equipped with time of flight mass spectrometry (TOF MS).
