General description

λ-Cyhalothrin is a type II highly active synthetic pyrethroid insecticide which contains a-cyano group.

Application

λ-Cyhalothrin is used as an internal standard for the determination of esfenvalerate from water by capillary gas chromatography with electron capture detection.
It may also be used as a pesticide reference standard for the determination of the analyte:
  • In virgin olive oil and cotton by gas chromatography (GC) with electron-capture detection.
  • In leafy vegetables by gas chromatography coupled with an ion trap mass spectrometry detection system (GC–ITMS).
