Adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide 1 (pituitary) receptor type I (ADCYAP1R1) or pituitary adenylate cyclase 1 receptor (PAC1R) protein is a member of the class B G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). It is expressed ubiquitously in the central nervous system (CNS) and peripheral tissues. It has an N-terminal extracellular domain (ECD) and a transmembrane domain (TMD). ADCYAP1R1 gene is located on human chromosome 7p14.

It regulates circadian rhythm, food intake, and the immune system. PAC1R plays a vital role in glucose metabolism, learning and memory, neuronal ontogenesis, and apoptosis. ADCYAP1R1 is identified as a potential drug target for mental disorders and dry eye syndrome.
