Application
L′adénosine 5γ-triphosphate (ATP) est un constituant essentiel pour le stockage d′énergie et le métabolisme in vivo. L′ATP est utilisé dans de nombreux processus cellulaires, la respiration, les réactions de biosynthèse, la motilité et la division cellulaire. L′ATP est le substrat de nombreuses kinases participant à la signalisation cellulaire et des adénylate cyclases qui produisent le second messager cAMP. L′ATP fournit l′énergie métabolique nécessaire pour activer les pompes métaboliques. Il sert de coenzyme dans une vaste gamme de réactions enzymatiques.

Aqueous solutions of ATP are stable for months when frozen at -15°C and for approximately one week at 0°C. ADP is the first hydrolysis product formed, with additional hydrolysis leading to the formation of AMP. However, ATP solutions are only stable for several hours at 0 °C when dissolved in a trichloroacetic acid solution. In alkaline solution, it rapidly decomposes to inorganic pyrophosphate and adenosine 5'-phosphate even at 0 °C. This information can be found on the product information sheet (under Documents, above.
