Application

3-Aminobenzamide has been used as a poly-(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitor in various experimental studies.[1][2][3]

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

3-Aminobenzamide enhances cell death, unscheduled DNA synthesis and repair replication by interrupting the rejoining of DNA strand breaks induced by both ionizing radiations and several alkylating agents.[4] It has an ability to inhibit the activity of nuclear enzyme poly (ADP-ribose) synthetase (PARS).[5] 3-Aminobenzamide exhibits protective action against myocardial reperfusion injury[5] and local inflammation.[6]
