Heparin-biotin is used transfection research for the development of self-assembled terplexes such as polyamidoamine dendrimer and DNA (PAMAM/DNA) heparin-biotin terplexes for targeted gene delivery with improved transfection. The terplexes may be used in immobilizing proteins such as lactoferrin and lysozyme and nucleic acids.[1][2]

    1. The quality specification for product B9806 is that the molecular weight is approximately 15000 Daltons. This is only an approximation and no specific screening has been performed for other chain lengths. The source of the heparin is from porcine intestinal mucosa.
