Synthetic peptide directed towards the C terminal region of human ACVR2B
Aplicación
Anti-ACVR2B antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 0.25μg/ml.
Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas
Activin A receptor, type IIB (ACVR2B) binds activin ligands that promote growth and differentiation via the TGF-β signaling. ACVR2B is expressed in adult hypothalamus and forebrain. Activin receptors IIA and IIB may regulate germ cell proliferation in the human ovary during primordial follicle formation and in mouse testis.

The inhibin/activin family of proteins is known to have a broad distribution of synthesis and expression in many species, as well as a variety of functions in reproductive and other physiological systems. Yet, our knowledge regarding the production and function

Myostatin is a secreted protein that normally functions as a negative regulator of muscle growth. Agents capable of blocking the myostatin signaling pathway could have important applications for treating human muscle degenerative diseases as well as for enhancing livestock production.
Critical illness myopathy (CIM) is characterized by a preferential loss of the motor protein myosin, muscle wasting, and impaired muscle function in critically ill intensive care unit (ICU) patients. CIM is associated with severe morbidity and mortality and has a

Activin affects many aspects of cellular development, including those essential for reproductive fitness. This study examined the contribution of activin A to murine fetal testicular development, revealing contrasting outcomes of activin actions on Sertoli cells and gonocytes. Shortly after sex
The formation of the essential functional unit of the ovary, the primordial follicle, occurs during fetal life in humans. Factors regulating oogonial proliferation and interaction with somatic cells before primordial follicle formation are largely unknown. We have investigated the expression
