Organic Semiconductor Laser Materials
Professor Shinar highlights low-cost, disposable sensor configurations in organic and hybrid electronics for healthcare applications.
Organic photovoltaics (OPVs) represent a low-cost, lightweight, and scalable alternative to conventional solar cells. While significant progress has been made in the development of conventional bulk heterojunction cells, new approaches are required to achieve the performance and stability necessary to enable commercially successful OPVs.
A transparent conductive electrode (TCE) is an essential component of various optoelectronic devices such as solar cells, liquid-crystal displays (LCD), light-emitting diodes (LED), and touch screens.
Protocolos
Selenium's roles range from essential dietary element to semiconductor in advanced applications like xerography.

Is it possible to etch 578274-10PAK Indium tin oxide coated glass slides with E-beam lithography?
1 respuesta-
It is uncertain whether E-beam lithography will work for this purpose. The most common method for ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) patterning is photolithography. For simple patterning, a laser patterning system, specifically a fiber laser source, can be utilized. Alternatively, a CO2 laser source is capable of etching the glass. However, it's important to note that using a fiber laser can be challenging without prior experience, as it may lead to the redeposition of material on the glass along the laser path, which is non-removable.

How do I clean Product 578274, Indium tin oxide coated glass slide?
1 respuesta-
To clean ITO slides, the manufacturer recommends to immerse the slides in a 20 weight % solution of ethanolamine in deionized water, heat to 80°C in an ultrasonic bath for 10-15 minutes. After this step, the slides should be removed and rinsed several times with deionized water, and finally dried with pure nitrogen gas to avoid water spotting.

What method can be used to etch Product 578274, Indium tin oxide coated glass slide?
1 respuesta-
Per the manufacturer, an aqueous solution of 20% hydrochloric acid, 5% nitric acid and a few drops of liquid detergent to promote wetting of the ITO surface will remove ITO. If this solution is heated to 55°C, it will typically etch 100 ohm ITO coating in 30-60 seconds, or if the etching is carried out at room temperature, it will take six to ten minutes. Differences in the morphology of the coating, the thickness of the coating (more conductive coatings will be thicker), and changes in the purity or concentration of the acid solution will effect the time required to remove the ITO. Please be advised that ITO coatings can be lost if they come into direct contact with mineral acids and strong organic acids. Therefore, direct contact with these agents should be avoided. After the etching process is complete, the slides should be immediately rinsed in a 10% aqueous solution of sodium carbonate to neutralize any residual acid. To avoid water spotting, blow dry the slides with pure nitrogen gas.

What type of glass is Product 578274, Indium tin oxide coated glass slide, made of?
1 respuesta-
The slide is made with soda lime float glass. Molten glass is floated on a pool of liquid tin under a nitrogen/hydrogen atmosphere. This high volume process results in glass which does not require grinding or polishing to achieve a high-quality finish. Float glass will typically have a strain point of 523°C, a CTE of 77-85 x 107 / °C, and a refractive index of 1.517. Typical composition of float glass is 72.6% SiO2, 0.8% B2O3, 1.7% Al2O3, 4.6% CaO, 3.6% MgO, and 15.2% Na2O.

For Product 578274, Indium tin oxide coated glass slide, what is the passivation layer, and what is it's purpose?
1 respuesta-
ITO coated float glass is only offered with a SiO2 passivation layer applied directly on the glass prior to ITO coating. The passivation layer is intended to minimize the leaching of alkali oxides into liquid crystals, which can have a detrimental effect on the volume resistivity of the liquid crystal.
