General description

Structure of double walled carbon nanotubes (DWNTs) can be imagined as a two coaxial concentric single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs). It has been prepared by catalytic chemical vapor deposition. DWNTs exhibit excellent field emission properties and may be potentially useful as field emission displays (FEDs) and field emission transistors (FETs).

Application

Carbon nanotube, double walled can be used for a variety of applications such as solar cells, nanomechanical resonators, film heaters, biosensors, and field emission displays.

Artículos

Carbon nanotubes are materials that possess remarkable properties and offer extraordinary possibilities.

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have received much attention since their discovery in 1991 by Sumio lijima1 due to their excellent mechanical, electrical, and optical properties.

A nanocomposite is typically defined as a mixture between a host material (e.g., polymer matrix) and nanofillers with at least one dimension of less than 100 nm.

Graphene's unique properties spark interdisciplinary interest; its honeycomb structure offers electrical, optical, and mechanical marvels.
