Application

Platinum black (fuel cell grade) can be electroplated on implantable microelectrode arrays (MEAs) to improve the impedence of the device. It can be used as a microelectrode for the formation of a microfluidic electrochemical sensor for glucose sensing applications. It can also be used as a cathode material for the production of hydrogen and polymer electrolyte fuel cells.
