Allgemeine Beschreibung

Risperidone is a benzisoxazole derivative. It functions as an antagonist for dopamine D₂, histamine H₁ and α₁ and α₂ adrenergic receptors.[1] Risperidone is used to treat schizophrenia,[2] bipolar disorder and autism.[3]

Anwendung

Risperidone has been used:

• to study its effects on bone formation and differentiation[4]
• to investigate the relationship between risperidone (RIS) dosages and RIS plasma levels in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) pediatric patients[3]
• to reverse induced schizophrenia-like behavior in mice[5]
