Intraflagellar transport 81 (IFT81) is part of the intraflagellar transport B-complex. The gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 12q24.

Anwendung

Biochem./physiol. Wirkung

Intraflagellar transport 81 (IFT81) associates with intraflagellar transport 74 (IFT74) to form a complex which binds to tubulin. This has a role in ciliogenesis. Mutations in the gene encoding IFT81 have been linked to ciliopathy.[1]
