Allgemeine Beschreibung

ARSD (arylsulfatase D) belongs to the sulfatase gene family. It is a homodimer composed of three adjacent cysteine pairs i.e. Cys12-Cys13, Cys112-Cys113 and Cys119-Cys120 in each subunit. It acts as an arsenic chaperone in the ArsAB (arsenite-antimonite) pump system. Its cysteine pair binds to the As(III) or Sb(III) for transferring them to the ArsA subunit of the pump. ARSD is involved in the sphingolipid metabolism.

Anwendung

Anti-ARSD antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link.
