Anwendung

Stark saures, zur heterogenen Säurekatalyse verwendetes Kationenaustauschharz; zur nicht-wässrigen Katalyse geeignet.
Amberlyst-15 has been used as a catalyst for the etherification of furanyl alcohols by using both ethanol and butanol solutions. Amberlyst-15 hydrogen form has been used as an acid resin catalyst for the conversion of furfuryl alcohol into ethyl levulinate in lipid ethanol and for biodiesel production from triolein in a batch reaction system by transesterification method at high temperatures.
