Allgemeine Beschreibung

Palm fruit oil, a widely used vegetable oil, is obtained from the mesocarp of the palm fruit.[1] It is mainly composed of palmitic acid and also unsaturated fatty acids such oleic and linoleic acid.[1][2] Palm oil undergoes trans-esterification with methanol to form methyl ester of palm oil, also known as palm oil diesel (POD). POD is a promising candidate as a diesel substitute.[3]
