Membrane cofactor protein isoform 14, also known as CD46, is a type I membrane protein that has cofactor activity for inactivation of complement components C3b and C4b by serum factor I. This function resides in the complement control protein repeats (CCPs), with CCP1-4 essential for regulation. CD46 is widely distributed on thymocytes, T cells, B cells, monocytes, granulocytes, NK cells, platelets, endothelial cells, epithelial cells, fibroblasts, placenta and sperm, but not on erythrocyte. Recombinant human CD46 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

Microcin PDI (MccPDI), a class IIa microcin that is produced by Escherichia coli strains 25 and 284, is known to inhibit foodborne pathogenic enterohemorrhagic E. coli serotypes O157:H7 and O26. Here we demonstrate that MccPDI can inhibit Shigella strains and
P2X4 receptor (P2X4R), a subtype of P2 purinergic receptors, is an ATP-gated receptor through which activity of spinal microglia instigates pain hypersensitivity in various pain conditions. Accumulating evidence indicates that monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) plays an important role in chronic

Largemouth bass ulcerative syndrome virus (LBUSV) is an important virus induce the mortality of largemouth bass (Micropterus Salmoides). In this study, we reported a single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) containing LBUSV major capsid protein (MCP) subunit vaccine (SWCNTs-MCP) which was evaluated

We recently identified CD46 as a novel therapeutic target in prostate cancer. In this study, we developed a CD46-targeted PET radiopharmaceutical, [89Zr]DFO-YS5, and evaluated its performance for immunoPET imaging in murine prostate cancer models. [89Zr]DFO-YS5 was prepared and its in
The outbreak of Chinese Giant Salamander (Andrias davidianus, CGS) Iridovirus (CGSIV) caused massive death of CGSs. However, some CGSs with low level of CGSIV usually could survive. In our study, major capsid protein (MCP) DNA replicates of CGSIV in shedding
