General description

Coelenterazine hcp is a semisynthetic analog of coelenterazine.[1]

Application

Coelenterazine hcp has been used:
  • as a component of coelenterazine reagent in the reporter assay[2]
  • in the purification of Renilla luciferase-labeled Annexin V[3]
  • in evaluating the activity of aequorin in Escherichia coli[4]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Coelenterazine hcp has 190 times higher luminescence intensity than native coelenterazine[5] and a faster response time than native coelenterazine.[4]
