1-Aminocyclopropanecarboxylic acid hydrochloride (ACPC) contains 3-membered carbocyclic rings and is a cyclic homolog of glycine. It acts as an agonist of the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor.[1] It elicits protection against glutamate-induced neurotoxicity in neurons.[2]
