General description

Sulfolane is widely used in combination with diisopropanolamine in the sulfinol process of removal of toxic levels of hydrogen sulfide and carbonyl sulfide from raw natural gas condensate.[1] It is also used as an industrial solvent for photographic chemicals, polymer, and petrochemical industries.[2]
Sulfolane is an aprotic polar solvent, used in the separation of aromatic hydrocarbons from aliphatic hydrocarbons.

Application

Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
Sulfolane may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in groundwater samples using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry technique.[1]
