General description

Hematoxylin crystals are a dye for the specific staining of DNA in the nuclei. It is used in cytology and histology. Nuclei are stained blue, dark violet to black. Hematoxylins are mixed with trivalent positively charged metal salts and build up the so-called hematoxylin lakes, used for the selective staining of nuclei (DNA) .
It is an IVD registered product and CE certified, thus can be used for clinical diagnostic purposes. For more details, please see instructions for use (IFU).

Questions

  1. Should this product be stirred or mixed before use? 使用前には、攪拌・混和したほうが良いでしょうか?

    1 answer
    1. This product is supplied as a dry crystalline powder. No mixing is required before weighing the powder. During preparation of the staining solution, stirring is necessary as described in the user guide: For the Gill method, stir for 1 hour at room temperature, then filter before use. For the Harris method, dissolve under heating with stirring, followed by further mixing and filtration. Detailed preparation instructions are available in the user guide below.
