General description

The 2H7 antibody reacts with human CD20, expressed by pre-B cells, resting and activated B cells, follicular dendritic cells and a small subset of T cells, but not on plasma cells. CD20 is a 33-37 kDa transmembrane protein which is differentially phosphorylated in resting and active B cells. The CD20 molecule plays a role in regulating B-cell activation.The 2H7 antibody is reported to be cross-reactive with several non-human species including Baboon, Chimpanzee, Cynomolgus and Rhesus.

This mouse monoclonal Anti-CD20 Antibody (human), violetFluor^® 450, clone 2H7, Cat. No. MABF1639 is validated for use in Flow Cytometry, for the detection of CD20.

Preparation Note

Analysis Note

This monoclonal antibody was purified from tissue culture supernatant via affinity chromatography. The purified antibody was conjugated under optimal conditions, with unreacted dye removed from the preparation.

Flow Cytometry Analysis: 0.5 μg from a representative lot detected CD20 in one million human peripheral blood lymphocytes.
