Popis

General description

Highly purified preparation of an altered form of human PAI-1 containing four mutated amino acids. Mutant PAI-1 is virtually unable to go latent and is stable at elevated temperature and pH for extended periods of time (t_½ = 145 hours at 37°C, pH 7.4). Inhibits uPA (K_i = 5.1 x 10⁶ M^-1 sec^-1) and tPA (K_i = 7.9 x 10⁵ M^-1 sec^-1).
