Popis

General description

Polycyclic dione that has anti-retroviral activity. Inhibits protein kinase C (IC₅₀ = 3.3 µM). Also known to inhibit the protein tyrosine kinase activities of the insulin receptor (IC₅₀ = 20-29 nM), the epidermal growth factor receptor (IC₅₀ = 35 nM), casein kinase II (IC₅₀ = 6 nM), and MAP kinase (IC₅₀ = 4 nM). Useful probe for PKC due to its bright red fluorescence emission and photostability. Also see Pseudohypericin (Cat. No. 539590).

Preparation Note
