General description
Method: Colorimetric, with test strips, 0.5 - 2 - 5 - 10 - 25 mg/L (H2O2), MQuant®
Peroxide is an all purpose disinfectant which, due to its excellent antiviral, bactericidal and fungicidal action, is widely used in the food industry. Here, the MQuant® test strips are ideal for controlling the residual peroxide after disinfection. Peroxidase transfers peroxide oxygen to an organic redox indicator. This produces a blue oxidation product. The peroxide concentration is measured semiquantitatively by visual comparison of the reaction zone of the test strip with the fields of a color scale. The test strips are perfect for pre-testing a sample in an economic and quick way to estimate the peroxide concentration and a possible dilution factor prior to using a quantitative method such as a Reflectoquant® or Spectroquant® Peroxide test.

For a solution of isopropanol 25-27%, n-methyl pyrrolidone 40-45%, propylene glycol methyl ether acetate 5-8%, water 18-20%, < 1% 1,4 -dioxane, and 2- Heptanone <10%, can this peroxide test indicate a false positive for peroxide?

How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

Can I use this strips to determine peroxides in radiopharmaceuticals solutions? pH range from 1 to 2.

This product has not been tested for determining peroxides in radiopharmaceutical solutions. The pH of the aqueous sample must be within the range of 2 to 12. It cannot function in a pH range of 1 to 2. It is recommended to buffer the sample with sodium acetate to reach the appropriate pH range.

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.
