It is widely used for thin film fabrication, synthesis of cerium oxide (CeO) nanoparticles, and functional coatings in electronics, optics, and catalysis.

  • It supports sonochemical synthesis of CeO nanostructures with rich oxygen vacancies, boosting catalytic efficiency in CO oxidation.
  • It facilitates one-step synthesis of Pt-Ni@CeO catalysts by providing Ce³⁺ and OH, improving structural stability and catalytic performance in phenylacetylene hydrogenation.
  • It is used to hydrothermally synthesize Ce-doped WO₃ microrods on FTO glass, enhancing photocurrent for sensitive ascorbic acid detection in food safety sensors.
