Application

Ammonium phosphate dibasic may be used in the following studies:
  • As an activator in generating activated carbon using waste ramulus mori as a source material.[1]
  • To compose the mobile phase for the removal of synthetic impurities from voriconazole by HPLC.[2]
  • Preparation of Eu ions doped oxyapatite Ca8Gd2(PO4)6O2 (CGP) samples.[3]
  • Syringe-type cartridge based electric field-assisted solid phase extraction of sunset yellow, an anionic dye.[4]

Questions

1–2 of 2 Questions
  1. What is the Pka of Ammonium Phosphate dibasic?

    1 answer
    1. Phosphate (phosphoric acid) salts have the following pKa values: k1=2.15, k2=6.82, k3=12.38.

      Helpful?

  2. Why is the water solubility so much lower than the 57-58% reported elsewhere?

    1 answer
    1. The solubility of this product is tested at 100 mg/mL in water while the product page suggests it is soluble at 132 g/L (132 mg/mL) in water. Neither of these are reported to be the maximum solubility rate, however these concentrations are suitable for most applications. The CRC Handbook lists the solubility of this compound at 69.5g/100g water. This is the rate published on PubChem. This information may be reviewed at the link below:
