Descripción general

This water purification kit contains Millipak® 100 Bacteria Filter (MPGL10ZW1) and Progard® 3 Pretreatment Pack (PR0G00003).
  • Millipak® filter removes bacteria from pure water before it enters the analyzer.
  • The Progard® Pack pretreats water by removing large particles, organic compounds and free chlorine from tap water.

Aplicación

  • The filter provides bacteria- and particulate-free water suitable for laboratory use, including clinical analyzers.
  • The pretreatment pack protects the reverse osmosis (RO) membrane against mineral scaling, organic fouling and chlorine oxidation.

Millipak® 100 filter features:
  • 0.22 μm Durapore® filter membrane for bacteria removal.
  • Low protein binding membrane yields high sample recovery with minimal loss of valuable product ensuring high-value filtration.

Progard® 3 Pretreatment Pack features:
  • Polyphosphate for anti-scaling protection.
  • Silver-impregnated activated carbon filter for free chlorine reduction and bacteriostatic protection.
  • Depth-filtration (0.5 μm) for removal of particles and colloids.

  1. What are the storage conditions for this product?

    1. Recommended storage conditions: temperatures from 5 to 30°C; humidity between 10 and 80%. The original sealed bag (if provided) must be kept intact before the first use to protect the purification element from foreign matter.

For high-flow systems, please keep in mind that all consumable changes must be approved by a 3-digit code that only the person in charge of the system knows.

It's possible to place only one consumable order per year with a specific contract called "Consumable Supply Agreement (CSA)" (https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/US/en/products/water-purification/milli-q-consumables#csa).     1. Refer to the consumable's Product page for a first estimation of its expected delivery time and contact customer service for more information.

  7. How frequently do the various consumables need to be changed?

    1. The frequency that consumables must be changed depends on the system's usage (treated water volume) and on the consumables themselves (time of usage). In order to ensure the quality of water and your results, the consumables should be replaced when the system alerts you.

  8. Where can I find data sheets, Certificates of Origin, Certificates of Analysis, and Certificates of Quality?

  9. If I have a final filter that I use only occasionally (e.g., Biopak®) and have another filter (e.g. Millipak®) that I most of the time, can I keep the 'occasional-use' filter for use again at a later time?

    1. It is not possible to re-use a filter that has been used and then removed because air intake during replacement creates an airlock and blocks water passing through the filter. If you regularly need two different filters, we recommend using two POD dispensers.

  10. Can consumables be opened and refilled?

    1. Unfortunately, this is not possible because of safety issues and the need to guarantee the quality of consumables and their interior purification components. Our consumables are manufactured in an ISO 9001-certified facility France in agreement with high quality standards.
