General description

Goat anti Rabbit IgG affinity purified antibody, Alkaline Phosphatase conjugated.
Immunoglobulin G (IgG), is one of the most abundant proteins in human serum with normal levels between 8-17 mg/mL in adult blood. IgG is important for our defence against microorganisms and the molecules are produced by B lymphocytes as a part of our adaptive immune response. The IgG molecule has two separate functions; to bind to the pathogen that elicited the response and to recruit other cells and molecules to destroy the antigen. The variability of the IgG pool is generated by somatic recombination and the number of specificities in an individual at a given time point is estimated to be 1011 variants.

Application

ELISA: 1:5,000-1:50,000

Western Blot: 1:5,000-1:50,000

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.
Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Antibody, Alkaline Phosphatase conjugate is an antibody against Rabbit IgG for use in ELISA & WB.

RECONSTITUTION:

Reconstitute with sterile distilled water to match the volume indicated on the vial label. Centrifuge or vortex this product if it is not completely clear after standing for 1-2 hours at room temperature.

Storage and Stability

Store lyophilized material at 2-8°C until opened. After reconstitution this product is stable for several weeks at 2-8°C as an undiluted liquid. DO NOT FREEZE. For extended storage after reconstitution, add an equal volume of glycerol to make a final concentration of 50% glycerol and store at 2-8°C for up to 12 months. Please note that the concentration of protein and buffer salts will decrease to one-half of the original after adding glycerol.
