General description

Norcodeine is a primary urinary metabolite of codeine. Codeine is an opiate used for its analgesic, antitussive, and sedative properties and is the second-most predominant alkaloid in opium. This certified Snap-N-Spike® Solution is applicable for use in LC/MS or GC/MS applications from urine drug testing and pain prescription monitoring to clinical toxicology and forensic analysis.

Application

  • Pharmacokinetics and nociceptive effects of codeine in horses: A study conducted by Knych HK et al., investigated the pharmacokinetics and the effects on thermal nociception in horses following the administration of codeine.
