General description

This gelatin-based bioink kit for multiphoton lithography (MPL) combines the biological benefits of conventional gelatin-based materials with two-photon polymerization processability. It is based on gelatin type B derived from natural collagen which is modified with photo-crosslinkable functional groups enabling efficient multiphoton processing at 780 nm in the presence of the supplied crosslinker. The gelatin-based bioink can be processed at fast speeds, due to the high reactivity and fast curing, resulting in high cell viability. The bioink is also biodegradable and allows cells to remodel the envrionment and substitute the hydrogel with newly formed extracellular matrix over time. This ready-to-use kit contains a concentrated resin, dilution buffer, and crosslinker for 10 prints.

Application

A wide range of biological applications including:
  • 3D bioprinting
  • Tissue engineering
  • High resolution printing of complex geometries

Features and Benefits

  • Biocompatibility - Supports cell adhesion and proliferation
  • Reproducibility - Production under strict quality control
  • Biodegradability - Enables cellular remodelling of the printed matrix
  • Easy handling - Delivered in a ready-to-use kit containing a concentrated stock solution, dilution buffer, and crosslinker for 10 prints that can be printed in 10 min
  • Biolgoically relevant - includes the benefits of collagen derived GelMA
