Gene Information

human ... GCR(2908)

General description

Anti-GR antibody detects endogenous levels of total GR protein.
Glucocorticoid receptor (GR) gene/NR3C1 (nuclear receptor subfamily 3 group C member 1) is located on human chromosome 5q31.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human GR.

Immunogen Range: 201-250

Application

Anti-GR antibody has been used in western blotting.
Applications in which this antibody has been used successfully, and the associated peer-reviewed papers, are given below.

Biochem/physiol Actions

The glucocorticoid receptor (GR) gene/(NR3C1) is associated with asthma. It is required for glucose homeostasis, hyperinsulinemia and increased fat deposition. It also regulates cell differentiation, nervous and immune system functions.
