Application

Lead sulfide quantum dots are inorganic semiconductors with an outer surface coating of organic ligands. Due to their excellent photosensitivity and band-gap tunability, they find applications in photodetectors. These particles are tuned to 1550 nm and are compatible with standard silicon-based complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) read-out circuits.

Other applications of these materials include light detection and ranging (LIDAR), 3D laser scanning, solar cells, as well as Time of Flight (ToF) sensing.
