This method is utilized in intensive care units to assist in determining neurological death, demonstrating the crucial role of high-purity Morphine-3-β-ᴅ-glucuronide as an analytical standard in critical care pharmacology (Jutras et al., 2020).


• Opiate Metabolite Detection in Urine: Research involving the detection of opiates and their metabolites in urine after cold syrup consumption employed advanced LC-MS/MS techniques. Morphine-3-β-ᴅ-glucuronide was highlighted for its importance in differentiating between opiate use and consumption of common over-the-counter medications, supporting its use in forensic toxicology and clinical diagnostics (Yen et al., 2020).
