General description
BSA is a single polypeptide chain consisting of about 583 amino acid residues and no carbohydrates. At pH 5-7 it contains 17 intrachain disulfide bridges and 1 sulfhydryl group.
Application
BSA 30% solution is a convenient form for direct supplementation of serum-free media. Bovine serum albumin is broadly used as an additive to cell culture media, especially serum-free media. It provides a range of benefits including protection from oxidative damage and stabilization of other media components such as fatty acids and pyridoxal.

What is the open stability of A9576?

This product is assigned a recommended retest date of approximately 3 years from the date of Quality Release. Provided that the product is stored properly and no contaminants have been introduced, once opened, the product is expected to be stable up to the lot-specific retest date.
