Isolation and detection of yeasts and molds
Application
Malt Extract Agar has been used in:
- isolation of ascomycetes from orchid roots
- cultivation of Pleurotus ferulae mycelium
- the culturing of fungal species
Other Notes
Contains maltose, dextrin, glycerol, peptone and agar
Preparation Note
Solve 33.6 g in 1 litre distilled water. Autoclave 15 minutes at 121°C.
