Descrizione generale

Extracellular matrix protein 1 (ECM1) is a glycoprotein. It is expressed in skin and other tissues. The gene encoding this protein is localized on human chromosome 1q21.2.[1][2]
This ELISA antibody pair detects Human Extracellular Matrix Protein 1 (ECM1)

Applicazioni

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached Protocolfor details.

Azioni biochim/fisiol

Extracellular matrix protein 1 (ECM1) has a role in cell proliferation, mineralization and angiogenesis. The protein has been shown to have a role in cancer invasion and progression. It is associated with hepatocellular carcinoma.[1] Mutations in the ECM1 gene have been linked to lipoid proteinosis.[2] The protein also promotes the Warburg effect, which is an oncogenic switch that allows cancerous cells to take in more glucose than non-cancerous cells.[3]
